Platform and Other Fees

As a property owner on the Fairly platform, you are responsible for certain service fees paid to Fairly and its channel partners. These fees help deliver comprehensive management, compliance, and financial tools for your vacation rental. All applicable fees are automatically deducted from your payouts after reservations are completed.

Fairly Platform Fee

The Fairly Platform Fee supports the systems and services that make Fairly’s management model possible, including:

  • Dynamic pricing and performance optimization
  • Multi-channel listing and calendar integration
  • Caretaker coordination and performance incentives
  • Lodging tax compliance and filing support
  • Customer service for guests and homeowners
  • Automated financial management and reporting

This fee is charged as a percentage of rent (excluding lodging taxes, cleaning fees, and channel listing partner fees). A portion of this fee is shared with your caretaker to encourage consistent, high-quality care for your property.

You can view the calculated Fairly Platform Fee for each reservation by navigating to the Net Payout screen for that booking in your Fairly dashboard.

Fairly Processing Fee

When Fairly collects payment directly from a guest’s credit or debit card, a processing fee applies to cover card transaction costs. This fee averages around 3% of the total reservation amount.

  • The 3% processing fee applies to rent, cleaning fees, and pet fees.
  • For lodging or sales taxes, the processing fee is deducted from rent.
  • This fee is typically paid by the guest during booking but may appear in your payout summary when applicable.

Channel Listing Partner Fees

Channel partners such as Airbnb and Vrbo charge hosts service fees for listings and bookings on their platforms. These fees are separate from Fairly’s platform or processing fees.

  • Airbnb: Typically charges a 3% host service fee.
  • Vrbo: Typically charges a 5% host service fee, plus an additional processing fee depending on payment type.

Fairly automatically adjusts rent pricing across all platforms to account for these differences, ensuring your net rent remains consistent regardless of where the reservation originates.

Fee Adjustments and Updates

Fairly reserves the right to adjust service fees at any time. Any changes will be communicated in accordance with the Fairly Terms of Service and reflected transparently in your account reporting.
