STR Cleaning Service

STR turnover cleaning and deep cleaning are different jobs

In a short-term rental, the window between checkout and check-in is for restoring the home to a guest-ready condition. Blue Heron offers vacation-rental cleaning in its active coastal Delaware and Maryland service areas, with availability confirmed by property and schedule. A routine turnover addresses the recurring work between stays; a deep clean addresses more intensive periodic detail work that is scoped separately. Owners can request cleaning without assuming that a linen program is included, or ask us to coordinate the two services.

Routine STR turnover cleaning

A turnover is the repeatable clean and reset after one guest leaves and before the next arrives. Blue Heron’s published cleaning description includes room and surface cleaning, kitchen and bathroom attention, checking for visible damage or maintenance needs, guest-supply checks, and presentation details. Bed-making and laundry depend on the linen arrangement for that property, so those items should be stated in the service agreement. We review home size, checkout and arrival windows, access, supplies, and any property-specific checklist before confirming the plan.

  • Purpose: prepare the rental for its next scheduled arrival.
  • Typical focus: rooms, floors, surfaces, kitchens, bathrooms, visible issues, and guest-ready presentation.
  • Scheduling: tied to reservations; same-day changeovers require advance confirmation.
  • Not automatically included: periodic deep-clean tasks or a separate linen inventory program.

Periodic STR deep cleaning

A deep clean is a more intensive visit for the areas that need attention beyond the normal between-guest reset. Blue Heron’s existing cleaning program describes periodic work that can include appliances and windows, but the exact tasks should be agreed before scheduling. Deep cleaning may be useful before a busy season, after a heavy rental period, or when a home needs more time than an ordinary turnover allows. It does not replace the routine turnover plan for future reservations.

  • Purpose: address deeper, periodic detail work rather than the immediate guest changeover.
  • Possible scope: agreed appliance, window, baseboard, or other detailed areas based on a property review.
  • Scheduling: planned for a block of time appropriate to the home and work requested.
  • Quote: separate from the recurring turnover rate and checklist.

Linen and terry service is a separate choice

Cleaning the home and preparing its bedding and bath towels are related operational needs, but they are not the same service. Blue Heron offers an in-house Linen & Terry Service that describes laundering, inventory coordination, and guest-ready linen presentation. Owners can ask about linen support on its own or alongside a cleaning plan, subject to location, logistics, and availability. A written proposal should identify which work is included, which supplies are provided, and how each service is charged.

Get a cleaning plan built around your property

Tell us the location, bedroom and bathroom count, typical checkout and check-in windows, and whether you need turnovers, a deep clean, or both. We will review the home’s condition and any special surfaces, access requirements, or time constraints before defining the scope. Pricing, timing, and availability should be confirmed in writing; no visit should be described as a guaranteed same-day or five-star outcome. Request a cleaning proposal or call (302) 339-1148.

Short-term rental cleaning questions

Is a deep clean included in every turnover?

No. A turnover focuses on the recurring guest-ready reset between stays. A deep clean is a separate, more intensive scope that takes additional time and should be scheduled deliberately. We will identify any deeper work in the proposal rather than assuming it is included.

Can you clean a rental on the same day one guest leaves and another arrives?

Blue Heron’s published process is designed to support same-day changeovers. Whether your particular home and date can be accommodated depends on the booking window, property size, team availability, and travel time. Share the checkout and check-in times when you inquire. We will confirm the plan before you depend on a same-day service.

Does cleaning include linens and towels?

Not automatically in every arrangement. Blue Heron has a separate Linen & Terry Service for laundering and inventory coordination. We can discuss how cleaning and linen work together for your home. The written scope should state exactly what is included and what is priced separately.
